Turkey Day

Hello everyone! How was your Thanksgiving weekend? Things here were interesting. It was my first major holiday on the mission, so quite different! But all in all, a good experience.

So, right off the bat, we got transfer news. I will be staying in Tamale, but my companion Elder Mukanya will be leaving. Because Tamale is so far away from the rest of the mission, my companion will leave on Tuesday morning, and I will be put with a temporary companion until I receive my permanent companion on Thursday evening. I don't know who I will be receiving yet, but I am excited!

We have met some new people these past few weeks, so I am hoping and praying for these people. We have been working hard, trying to find the people in which the Lord has prepared for us. Hopefully, with a new companion with a little bit of new spirit, we can kick-start the area a little bit more.

Thanksgiving on the mission. I'm not gonna lie, Thanksgiving sucked, but it was the best that it could have been. We went and got the finest American cuisine money can buy in Ghana, KFC!! I'm not lying to y'all when I say KFC is the best thing that has happened to Ghana. Being far from home didn't stop me from getting stuffed on Thanksgiving though! It was also cool to see all of the other missionaries in one place too.

Anyways, things have been so slow recently, but that's a normal thing for Tamale. Another problem I have been running into is everyone is traveling for Christmas time. So when you meet someone and contact them, the next time you call them, they are halfway across Ghana.

Anyways, in conclusion, I'm enjoying but the holidays with no snow sucks. I really have been missing the snow, but it's alright. I hope everyone has a great week, and I'll talk to you next time!
